Moava AS was founded in 2004 by three teachers, and is now Norway’s leading supplier of school websites. Our goal is to promote learning by giving teachers and students easy-to-use ways to share and publish information and collaborate with each other via Internet.

Moava is an open source CMS/PLE developed especially for schools, and is currently used by over 20 percent of the schools in Norway.

The system allows your school to quickly and easily publish a website, without the need for designers or programmers. The entire school staff, after a 1-2 hour course, can publish news and photos, update their class page, upload weekly plans and more! Automatic photo compression, photo albums, and news lists are just a few of the functions included in the system at no extra cost.

In addition, each student can have their own homepage/blog within the school’s website (password protected or open). Students can publish blog texts, photos, videos, files, links and more. They can personalize their homepage by choosing their own design and they can decide which learning elements they want on their page. They can send mail to and chat with other students at their school, and they can comment on each other’s work.
